Ikoka Stick

Stripped-back LoRa hardware built around the RP2040 processor. Community-originated, open-source, and genuinely affordable.

Important: 915 MHz for United States

Always buy the 915 MHz version for use in the United States. The 868 MHz version (Europe) is not legal in America.

About The Ikoka Stick

The Ikoka Stick emerged from the maker community as an exercise in minimalism. Built on the Raspberry Pi RP2040 processor with an SX1262 LoRa transceiver, it provides MeshCore networking capability at the lowest possible cost.

No display, no battery management, no wireless configuration - just the essential components for LoRa communication. This deliberate simplicity keeps prices low and makes the device accessible to experimenters.

Expect a maker project rather than a consumer product. Technical engagement is part of the experience.

Design Philosophy

The Ikoka Stick prioritizes affordability and simplicity. The RP2040 processor offers capable dual-core ARM performance at minimal cost. Every non-essential feature has been removed to keep the price down.

Unlike ESP32-based devices, the Ikoka lacks WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. All configuration happens via USB connection. This approach is simpler in some ways but eliminates smartphone-based setup options.

Excellent for budget repeater deployments where the device connects to mains power and needs no display. Also suits those learning about mesh networks who want inexpensive hardware for experimentation.
